  • ½ cup of milk
  • ¼ cup sugar + 1 teaspoon
  • 7g. active dry yeast
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 100 g. dark chocolate

  1. Grease a large bowl with oil and reserve.
  2. In another small microwave-safe bowl we heat the milk about 30-40 seconds. It should be warm, so that it does not burn when touched with the back of the hand.
  3. Once done, we add a teaspoon of sugar and we stir to dissolve it.
  4. Then we incorporate the yeast and let it rest until foamy, about 8 minutes.
  5. While in a large bowl beat ¼ cup sugar, butter, egg and vanilla.
  6. Once well beaten, Add the yeast mixture and we mix.
  7. And then We add the flour and the salt, stirring with a spoon until a lumpy dough forms.
  8. Then we transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and we knead for about 5 minutes or until elastic and only slightly sticky, adding more flour a teaspoon at a time if necessary.
  9. We form a ball and we place the dough in the oiled bowl that we had reserved. We cover it with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, approximately 1 hour.
  10. Then, We line a tray with baking paper and we lightly grease it with oil, removing the excess with a piece of paper.
  11. We remove the air from the dough crushing it with your fist and transfer it back to a lightly floured work surface.
  12. We extend it until it forms a rectangle just over a cm thick and with a donut cutter or two rings of different sizes we shape the donuts, collecting the cuts to create more.
  13. We place them on the baking tray and cover them with a kitchen towel and We let it rise for 40 minutes to 1 hour..
  14. Time passed We grease the air fryer basket with oil and place 2 donuts on it, making sure they do not touch. Cook at 190ºC for 6 minutes, until golden brown.
  15. Then we take them out and place them in a cooling rack, while we continue baking the rest.
  16. Once cold dip in melted chocolate and we add a few pieces of almond to it.
