Yogurt cake, for an unprovised snack

Yogurt cake

Hello!. Today I bring you this traditional dessert, the typical Yogurt cake. This cake is a very useful recipe for any snack.

Last weekend, I had an unexpected call from some friends who were coming for a picnic. At that moment, I started looking as quickly as possible for something to offer them to accompany the coffee, but I had nothing. I got a little stressed, because in a short time they would arrive and I had nothing for picnic.

So that's when I came up with the idea to do this Yogurt cake, since it is a very fast recipe with few ingredients and that we always have them at home.

Without further ado, I leave you the ingredients and the preparation for you to enjoy this delicious dessert: Yogurt cake.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs.
  • 1 yogurt
  • 1 sachet of yeast.
  • 1 measure of glass of olive oil yogurt.
  • 2 glass measures of sugar yogurt.
  • 3 cups of flour yogurt.
  • Butter.
  • Powdered sugar to decorate.
  • Cocoa powder (optional).

Preparation

As the preparation of the cake base is very fast, we will preheat the oven to 180ºc while we are doing this one.

In a bowl we will put the 3 eggs together with the yogurt, and we will mix well with a rod. Next, we will add the sugar little by little and continue stirring. Then, we add the yeast envelope and the oil while stirring. When we see that these ingredients are homogeneously mixed we will incorporate the flour until we get a kind of thick cream.

We will line a mold with butter and flour, and we will pour that cream into the mould. We will bake about 30-35 min at 180ºC. If we do not realize the time, we will check that the cake is done by inserting a toothpick and it comes out clean, otherwise we would leave it a little longer.

Finally, we would allow to cool. An idea to serve it is to throw it over sugar glass.

Note: For this cake Yogurt is tastier we can fill it with pastry cream. As you can see, the cake is a bit dark, it is because I also added a few tablespoons of cocoa powder, to make it taste like chocolate. I hope you like it!.
