Vanilla custard, a simple traditional dessert to prepare, in just 30 minutes we have some delicious homemade custard. I have used vanilla essence, but you can use a vanilla bean.
Vanilla custard is an ideal dessert for after a meal with friends or family. You will be very well and they will like it a lot. These custards, apart from the eggs, thicken with a little cornmeal (Maizena) and thus we remove some egg yolks.
If you like them you can accompany them with cookies, they go very well with custard.

Ingredients
- Yolks 5
- ¾ liter of milk
- 1-2 teaspoons of vanilla essence
- 150 gr. sugar
- 2 tablespoons of cornflour
- Cinnamon
Preparation
- In a bowl we put the yolks, the sugar, half a glass of milk, the rest we leave and the cornstarch, we beat it well until everything is well mixed.
- Heat a saucepan with the remaining milk and vanilla, put it over medium heat, when it starts to boil, remove from the heat, add it little by little, stirring constantly into the egg mixture so that they do not stick. curdle and mix.
- Once we have incorporated the milk and mixed, we put everything back in the saucepan and put it on the fire, we will leave it on low heat and without stopping stirring until it begins to thicken, it does not have to boil, otherwise the cream can be cut.
- When they thicken, remove them from the heat, place the mixture in containers with the cream, let it cool down and put them in the fridge until they are cold.
- When we are going to serve, sprinkle with a little cinnamon.
- And they will be ready to eat !!!
