Valencian chicken and vegetable paella

Valencian paella, a typical traditional dish of the Valencian Community. It is a simple dish to make even if it seems a bit complicated, we just have to follow a few steps to make it look good.

The paella can be made of seafood, meat or vegetables, it can be made in many ways since in each house it is made in its own way, but in any case it is always good.

It is also important to use a good rice as well as all the ingredients. I have used a Bomba rice.

Ingredients
  • 400 gr. rice bomb
  • 800 gr. of chicken
  • 100 gr. of green beans
  • 100 gr. of jug
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 150 gr. crushed tomato
  • 1 teaspoon saffron or food coloring
  • 1 l. of water
  • 1 teaspoon paprika sweet
  • Olive oil
  • Sal Island

Preparation
  1. To make the Valencian paella with chicken and vegetables, we will start by putting a large paella, add a jet of oil, add the chicken pieces and let them cook for 10 minutes.
  2. We put the chicken aside and add the green beans, leave a couple of minutes, add the minced garlic and before they brown, add the crushed tomato. We let it cook for a few minutes.
  3. Add the sweet paprika, stir.
  4. Add the water, let it cook for 15 minutes, add salt. We will have hot water in case we need a little more. In the middle we will add the carafe and the saffron.
  5. Add the rice, if necessary add more water, distribute well throughout the paella, and let it cook for 8 minutes over high heat.
  6. After this time we lower the heat to medium and let it cook another 8 minutes or until the rice is ready.
  7. We will taste salt in case it is necessary to rectify. If you like it to be more dry and toasted, we will leave it for a few more minutes.
