With this recipe that I propose today spiced chickpeas with cherrys few excuses we can give for not eating healthy. Not even time is a good excuse, since it will not take more than 10 minutes to prepare this recipe thanks to the cooked canned chickpeas.
How helpful it is to have a few jars of cooked vegetables in the pantry. And it is that with these we can prepare healthy and delicious dishes such as the spaced chickpeas that we cook today. You just have to add a few spices to the chickpeas for a dish full of flavour.
Garlic powder, paprika, cumin, oregano… at home I have used a mixture of various spices and seasonings but you could make your own. I dare say that curry could also work very well in this recipe. Do you dare to prepare it? Let's go step by step!
The recipe
- 1 can of canned cooked chickpeas (approx. 400 g,)
- 2 dozen cherry tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon paprika sweet
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- A pinch of cumin
- a pinch of oregano
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Olive oil
- Clean the cooked chickpeas under running cold water, drain and dry slightly.
- In a frying pan, place a tablespoon of oil and heat.
- Once the oil is hot, add the chickpeas, cherry tomatoes and spices.
- Mix and cook over medium heat with a lid on for 5 minutes, stirring the chickpeas from time to time.
- Serve the spiced chickpeas with cherrys in two bowls and sprinkle with a little extra oil.
