Today I bring you this simple but delicious meat dumplings recipe. The dumplings like everyone, but also have the advantage that they admit hundreds of different varieties. You can fill them with any ingredient and they will always be delicious. In addition, today we are going to bake our dumplings and in this way we will save many calories and fat that accumulate if they are fried.

These dumplings are perfect to serve as a second course at dinner time, but also if you organize a meal with guests. In this case, serve them with some sauces as a side, for example homemade guacamole or Mexican sauce for fajitas. The taste of Mexican sauces is perfect, since the minced meat carries a very tex-mex taste for spices. We get down to business!

Ingredients
  • 200 gr of minced meat mixture of pork and beef
  • 16 dumplings wafers
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • 1 pinch of hot paprika
  • Spices to taste, oregano, pepper, ground cumin, curry etc.
  • 1 egg yolk
  • extra virgin olive oil

Preparation
  1. We put a frying pan on the fire with a drizzle of virgin olive oil.
  2. When the oil warms up, add the minced meat and cook it over medium heat.
  3. Once the meat begins to brown, add the chosen spices and a pinch of salt, stir well and cook until the meat is done.
  4. We grate the two tomatoes and add them to the pan.
  5. We stir and add half a glass of water to make a little sauce and the meat is juicier.
  6. We let the sauce reduce without it being completely consumed and we reserve.
  7. Now, we prepare all the dumplings wafers on the counter.
  8. With a spoon, we are placing the filling taking care that they are not too full.
  9. Once all the meat is distributed, we close the dumplings and seal the edges with a fork.
  10. We preheat the oven to about 200 degrees.
  11. We beat the egg yolk in a bowl and with a kitchen brush we paint all the dumplings.
  12. We place on a baking sheet with a sheet of baking paper.
  13. We put in the oven and let cook until the dumplings are golden brown, taking care that they do not burn.
