Homemade lemonade
Lemonade is a very refreshing drink, Ideal for this time of year. It can be made easily at home and stored in the fridge for hours. We can also take it to the beach or the pool in a thermos to have a cold glass from time to time.

Water, sugar and lemon; those are the basic ingredients for a good lemonade. The key so that the sugar does not precipitate and the lemonade remains stable, is to prepare a previous syrup before incorporating the lemon juice. Part of these lemons can be substituted for lime, if you like the acidity of this fruit, to your liking!

Ingredients
For the syrup
  • 200 ml of water
  • 100 g. of sugar
  • Lemon rind
For the lemonade
  • 200 ml. syrup
  • 7 lemons + 1 to decorate
  • 500-600 ml of cold water
  • Ice cubes

Preparation
  1. We put the ingredients of the syrup in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook over low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves, for approximately 5 minutes. Let it cold down.
  2. When it's cold we pour 200 ml. of syrup in the bottom of a jug.
  3. We squeeze the 7 lemons and we pour it over the syrup.
  4. We fill with cold water the jar and stir slightly.
  5. We also take some lemon slices.
  6. Finally, we add the ice and we put the jug in the fridge for five minutes before serving.
