Blessed bridges, long weekends and vacations! Especially for those lovers of good food who due to the rush of day to day cannot unleash that chubby interior that would spend hours having breakfast or eating homemade dishes in a loop. These French toast with homemade jam are the perfect accompaniment to a well-deserved sweet vacation (and the perfect substitute for gooey French toast).
Also, today we will learn a quick and easy way to make homemade jam, in this case, with one of my weaknesses: raspberries. You're on vacation, so put your favorite Spotify list on full blast and think about where you are going to go for a run-walk to burn off the caloric wonder that you are going to get between your chest and back.
- 8 slices of bimbo bread
- 20 grams of butter
- 2 eggs
- Brown sugar
- Caramel syrup
- 500 gr. Raspberries
- 350 gr. of sugar
- 1 lemon (2 teaspoons of its juice)
- We beat the eggs in a bowl and add caramel syrup to taste.
- We wet the slices of bread for about 15 seconds so that they are well soaked.
- We melt the butter in a pan.
- When it is melted, fry the slices until golden brown on both sides.
- We reserve on absorbent paper while we prepare the jam.
- We wash, drain and cut the raspberries.
- We put in a small saucepan and spread the sugar on top.
- Cover and leave in the fridge overnight.
- After a night in maceration, we put the casserole on the fire (maximum).
- Bring to a boil while stirring, cover the pan and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Uncover the casserole and let it boil for 5 more minutes over medium heat.
- We add two tablespoons of lemon juice.
- After time, we turn off and warm up.
- We planted a couple of toasts and sprinkled some of our homemade jam on top.
- After this wonderful and caloric breakfast ... we will try to have a busy day to burn off all that wonderful sweetness
