French toast with cream

We are going to prepare some torrijas with cream. The typical torrijas of the Easter season, we can prepare them in many ways, although the typical ones are fried with honey or wine, these with cream are very good.

I have prepared these torrijas with cream, but they can be filled with chocolate, jam... You can also use the bread you like, they already sell special to make torrijas, but I have used sliced ​​bread to put two and the cream in the middle.

I'm sure you'll like them a lot, if you don't feel like making cream, use cream or chocolate custard, I'm sure you'll like them a lot at home.

Ingredients
  • 1 package of sliced ​​bread
  • Pastry cream or custard
  • 500 ml. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 gr. sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • 1 glass of sunflower oil

Preparation
  1. To prepare the torrijas with cream, we will start by preparing the ingredients. Beat the eggs on one plate and put the warm milk on another. In another we will have the pastry cream and in another we will put the sugar with a little cinnamon mixed.
  2. Cut the slices of bread into four. On top of each piece we will put a spoonful of pastry cream, on top we will put another piece of bread.
  3. Pass the stuffed torrijas that we have prepared, first in warm milk and then in egg.
  4. We will put a frying pan with sunflower oil over medium heat and we will fry the stuffed French toast. We take a plate and put kitchen paper, we will be putting the torrijas once fried so that it absorbs the excess oil.
  5. We will have prepared a bowl with sugar and cinnamon to coat the French toast. We passed them through the sugar and put them on a serving tray.
