Surely you have all tried the Danish pasta; Those that are normally marketed under different names in a blue tin that later ends up being used as a sewing kit. Its preparation, contrary to what it might seem, is simple, we will show you!
Danish or butter cookies are made with simple and common ingredients in our kitchen: eggs, butter, sugar and flour. In addition, chocolate can be incorporated into these pastes, either through small pieces integrated into the dough, or by partially coating them once made. As for the form you give it, it will depend on your skill or the tools you have for it.
- 250 g. butter at room temperature
- 120 gr icing sugar
- 1 egg M
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- A pinch of salt
- 400 g. wheat flour
- We beat the butter with the sugar until obtaining a cream.
- We add the egg and the essence of vanilla and beat until they are integrated.
- Finally we add the sifted flour with the salt and mix.
- We form a ball with the dough and divide it in two. We wrap each one separately with plastic wrap and the we take to the fridge for 30 minutes so that it takes shape.
- We preheat the oven to 180ºC.
- We take the dough out of the fridge and tap it to make it more manageable. We make a kind of churro with it to put the mass in the gun more easily. We press to eliminate the air and put the desired nozzle.
- We line the baking tray with parchment paper and we are forming the cookies.
- We put the oven tray in the fridge 5-10 minutes so that they maintain their shape when baked.
- We bake at 180ºC for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown. You can sprinkle them with sugar before baking them to your liking!
- We take out of the oven and leave them cool on a wire rack.
