Mantecados Hello girls! Christmas is almost upon us! Well, as I promised, I have brought you another Typical dessert for these special dates. Delicious artisan mantecados Delicious, come on I'll tell you because when they cooled they didn't last ten minutes on the plate.

On these dates, many foods are bought already prepared for the famous Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve dinner. But I particularly like to make them myself because that way they don't have as many preservatives or sweeteners. You always have to make your own food to avoid a bad consumption of food.

Well, below I leave you as always the ingredients and the preparation to make these artisan mantecados so that you can make it whenever you want.

Ingredients

  • 200 g of flour.
  • 75 g of icing sugar.
  • 75 g of ground almonds.
  • 100 g of butter.
  • 5 g of ground cinnamon.
  • Salt

Preparation

With a bowl, we put the flour, the icing sugar, the ground almond, the cinnamon and a pinch of salt. We remove all these ingredients until we see that they are all well mixed. Then we add the butter (it must be melted beforehand. To do this, we will put it in the microwave for a few seconds.)

We knead everything well. To facilitate our work, we will move to a table or a flat surface. We will knead for several minutes and always giving it a ball shape.

By wearing the Almond flour, the dough will appear that the ingredients are not mixed. That is, it will crumble, but it will be the one that is 'sticking' the ingredients thanks to the fat it contains. Of course, do not despair you will have to knead several minutes, between 10-12 min.

When we already have a compact mass, we will proceed to carry out these artisan mantecados. We will cut small portions and give it the typical shape, making a small ball and then squashing them a little.

Finally, we will introduce it in the oven for only 2 min at 200 ºC (preheat the oven). After these two minutes, let cool and decorate with icing sugar.
