California salad, special for after the holidays
Now that Christmas is over, in which we have gone a bit with the calories and with the intake of an unbalanced diet, we present you a recipe of salad very rich, full of energy, and very healthy, to start keeping the line.
La california salad It is a varied salad, full of various sauteed foods and with a very special vinaigrette with a characteristic flavor that you will love.
Ingredients
- Lettuce.
- American walnuts.
- bacon.
- Stale bread.
- Salt
- Olive oil.
For the vinaigrette or sauce:
- Mustard.
- Mayonnaise.
- Vinegar.
- Honey.
Preparation
Firstly, we will wash the lettuce under the tap and let it drain in a colander or on kitchen paper. You can use a variety of lettuce for this salad: romaine, arugula, lamb's lettuce, red, etc.
As the lettuce drips off, let's go cutting the bacon into thin strips and we will sauté it in a frying pan with a pinch of olive oil. We will drain the excess oil on kitchen paper.
Also, we will be peeling the walnuts and cutting the stale bread in small cubes, then fry them in a little olive or sunflower oil.
Finally, we will do the vinaigrette or sauce to then bathe the ensalda. In a small bowl we will add a tablespoon of mustard, one of mayonnaise, a teaspoon of honey and one of vinegar. We will remove with a rod to integrate well.
Once the ingredients for this salad have been prepared, we will put them together in a bowl and we will add salt. We will place on a flat or deep plate and add the vinaigrette.
