If there is a simple cake with few necessary ingredients that we all usually have at home, this is undoubtedly the Basque cake with cinnamon. I have to say that the original recipe does not have cinnamon, but I love the different flavor it gives and it is much richer, but there each one with their culinary tastes.

Ingredients
  • 4 medium eggs
  • 2 glasses and ½ of milk (if possible whole)
  • 1 glass of pastry flour
  • 1 glass of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

Preparation
  1. First of all we will go pre-heating the oven that we will need to cook this cake.
  2. We will take a bowl that serves as a container to make the mixture of ingredients. And the first thing we will take will be the four eggs. We beat well, and then we add the milk. There are two and a half glasses that we will have to mix well with the beaten egg.
  3. The following will be the flour, which we will add little by little and stir at the same time. It is important not to leave lumps!
  4. The last thing will be to add the glass of sugar and a teaspoon of cinnamon. We beat well again with the help of a rod and that's it!
  5. The next thing will be to look for a mould, which we will grease a little with a block of butter so that it does not stick and we will pour the mixture of our cake.
  6. We will put it baked with fire both above and below for about 40 minutes at 180º degree heat.
  7. To know if our cake is done, we will click a wooden toothpick and if it comes out clean, it is perfect to eat.

Notes
To decorate we have added a little liquid caramel, although chocolate or strawberry syrup could also be used.
