American pancakes with honey for breakfast
I've been wanting to prepare this recipe for a long time. pancakes or American pancakes, but was always relegated to others until this weekend. After trying them, I have no doubt that I will repeat them for breakfast accompanied by fresh fruit, nuts or honey.
Thicker than the pancakes or crepe, the ingredients of these American pancakes, however, are not that different. This sweet bread usually contains milk, eggs, flour, yeast, sugar and butter. This time I accompanied them honey and raisins but the possible combinations are many, they are easy to adapt to different tastes. Try them.
Ingredients
For 5 pancakes
- 200 g. Of flour
- 200 g. whole milk
- 1 teaspoon yeast
- 1 egg
- 1 spoon of sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- Butter to grease the pan
- Honey
- Raisins
Crafting
We separate the white and the yolk of the egg. The clear we beat it to snow point. When the peaks begin to be appreciated, sprinkle the sugar and continue beating to finish mounting it.
In a bowl we mix the flour with the yeast, the salt and the egg. We beat while we add the milk little by little until a thick dough is achieved.
We incorporate the white mounted to the mixture with enveloping movements, using a spatula.
We put a frying pan on fire (mid fire). When it is hot we spread the bottom with a little butter and then we pour a saucepan of dough. We spread it well over the pan and let it cook for a minute on that side. We turn it over and cook on the other side. The pancakes should be about 1 cm thick.
As we remove them from the pan, we pile them on a plate to keep them warm. At the end, we put a nut of butter on the top pancake and we water with honey. We serve with raisins.
